Point cloud delivery is the deliverable architects and engineers actually use — the navigable tour is a reference for everyone else. Both come out of the same scan day.

Workflow

We scan with terrestrial and mobile units depending on the geometry, register on site to confirm coverage, and deliver the cleaned cloud within 5 to 7 business days of the visit. Tight-schedule projects can request a 72-hour turn at a coordination fee.

  • AutoCAD / Civil 3D — RCP, plus 2D DWG floor plans on request
  • Rhino / SketchUp — E57 with importer plugin

Frequently asked questions

What accuracy can we expect?

For residential interiors we typically deliver registration accurate to within 1% of reality across the building envelope, which is sufficient for as-built modelling and most renovation design. For exterior work or projects requiring tighter tolerances we plan a control-point survey before the scan.

How large are the typical deliverables?

A 4,000 sq ft home produces around 20 to 40 GB of raw scan data and 4 to 8 GB of registered point cloud after decimation. We deliver via a secure transfer link.

Can you align to our existing project coordinate system?

Yes — if you provide control points or a benchmark, we register the cloud to your datum. Otherwise we deliver in a local project origin.
